Scholarships


Scholarship(s) will be announced in April, to be awarded in fall (subject to satisfaction of eligibility criteria) and spring (subject to the end-of-semester review).

Eligibility Criteria

Students must

  1. have completed at least 30 hours of course work at CSU, including CPSC 1301, CPSC 1302 and CPSC 2108 with at least two As and one B
  2. have declared and maintain enrollment as a full-time CS major
  3. follow the suggested course of study, as outlined in the Degree Program for computer science majors, in anticipation of graduating in eight (8) semesters
  4. successfully complete 30-35 credit hours per academic year
  5. receive a grade of B or higher in CS courses, thus maintaining a 3.0 GPA
  6. maintain a GPA of 2.5 in all course work at CSU
  7. inform the department about outside jobs and other scholarships/grants

End-of-semester Review

  1. Student's record will be reviewed at the end of fall semester to verify continuing eligibility
  2. The department reserves the right to withdraw scholarship support for conduct inconsistent with the goals of the department, including nonacademic issues and problems

Scholarship Policies

  1. Students, who formally withdraw or reduce their course load during the semester, will be expected to repay the award for the current semester. Failure to repay the award will result in unfavorable standing at CSU
  2. If the award is cancelled because of GPA, the student may reapply for the scholarship after two semesters
